Security!

This is a big thing with web development for obvious reasons... to make this more secure we need to look at some PHP filtering for starts, this will validate the text I input and stop scripts from extracting data... neat :)

Compatible

Some of you may have noticed when using IE (why I will never know). That some of the pages were overlapping! Shockingly it worked fine in Safari and Firefox.
You will be happy to know that those issues have now been solved.
Well I'm happy anyway! Any comments let me know: tom@tomaske.co.uk

New Site

My new website is officially up and running, have a play!
It uses lots of jQuery, we are up to Version 1.6.1 now. It also utilises PHP and a MySQL data base to store this blog post and the work in my portfolio.
Enjoy! :)

Top 5 App

For my web server applications module in my final year I developed a Top 5 movie application. The app allowed users to register and create a profile displaying their top 5 movies of different genres. Other users can then comment on user profiles or movies.
It uses .Net and C# as well as an MySQL database.

Tom Aske BSc(Hons)

Multimedia Technology graduate from Birmingham City University. I have the skills to understand different areas of web development. I first started writing HTML when I was 15, using 'div' overlays on myspace because I was cool. It got me interested though. My first published website was created in 2007. Over the last few years I have gained a strong knowledge of HTML and CSS. Now I wish to venture into more complicated web structures and languages such as ASP.NET and PHP, which I studied at university.
